democracy or division

This one feels like a fail. It's far from square, pulled in numerous directions, and I doubt there is any washing and stretching that will be able to fix it.

And I don't really know why it happened because it doesn't happen often to me, eventhough I play will a lot with yarn weights and variations.

And the colours which seem so striking to start have seemed to just blend into each other.

But that is also this moment. It's about if we want democracy to work it needs to be more than devolving into two parties, into group identity, into argumenting for the sake of arguing instead of to find truth.

It's that we need more than just division. That we don't just have two options instead of one option (autocracy).

That democracy needs to be more than just two. More than party allegiance. More than a fight. To be one or other. More than to devolve into one more game because the consequences are so much more.

I want more than to be locked in division. I want thoughtfulness, consideration, discussion, relevant information, a whole lot less shaming and 'educating' (telling others that one is right and they are ignorant).

I want more than the weariness of trying to understand what is going on. I want choices I feel comfortable with and not simply people I feel the need to vote against.

I want people who would be good at the job. I want them to want to run, to not have to overcome the ridiculousness that is politics.

I want good systems, I want adaptable systems where when more information is gained, good changes are made. I want systems that can adapt when people try to cheat them, instead of incentivizing of bad behavior and rewarding them. I want so much more than what we are devolving into. So much more than autocracy, oligopoly, or the distraction of divisions.

More than moving backwards and darkening what is to come.
